Mortgage Loan Officer – Fort Pierre, SD
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mortgage Loan Officer to join our growing family-owned community financial institution. As a Mortgage Loan Officer, you will be responsible for helping individuals and families secure residential mortgages to purchase or refinance their homes. You will play a critical role in guiding clients through the loan application process, evaluating their financial information, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Meet with clients to understand their financial needs and goals and provide expert advice on residential mortgage options.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients throughout the loan process and beyond, providing excellent customer service.
- Assist clients in completing loan applications, collecting necessary documentation, and guiding them through the loan process from start to finish.
- Evaluate clients’ financial situations, including credit history, income, and debt-to-income ratios to determine their eligibility for various loan programs.
- Stay up-to-date with current mortgage products, interest rates, and lending guidelines to offer the best options to clients.
- Keep clients informed about the status of their loan applications and address any questions or concerns.
- Ensure all loan applications and processes adhere to federal and state laws and regulations and bank-specific policies and procedures.
- Manage a pipeline of loans, ensuring timely and efficient processing from application to closing.
- Build and maintain relationships with local real estate professionals, builders, and other community stakeholders to grow the bank’s mortgage business.
